In designing Kimball’s Chicago Showroom for NeoCon 2016, we looked at the changing perceptions of place. In a world of interconnection, virtual reality, and transitory spaces our sense of place can be many places at once. The individual creates place. Events great place. Interactions create place. With that concept in mind, we sought out four of Kimball’s furniture designers and created inhabitable follies inspired by each designer’s sensibility, philosophy, and process.
