Kimball 15

When looking for inspiration for Kimball’s 2015 Chicago Showroom, we need not look further than the front door. Drawing on the layered neighborhoods of Chicago, we saw parallels between the urban environment and the modern office, each bearing typologies with unique personalities and purpose. The resulting showroom was an abstracted city scape, woven together through bold colors, textures, and patterns. The result was an exercise in controlled chaos, with contrasting languages, rough and refined materials.
