Slack HQ

When tasked with designing Slack’s new HQ, the Studio O+A team developed a concept close to Founder Stuart Butterfield’s heart. An avid outdoorsman and hiker, he frequently retreats to wilderness to recharge and reconnect. Using the Pacific Crest Trail, which connects Slack’s offices in Vancouver and San Francisco as an organizing principle, the team created floor-by-floor shifts in landscape. Each unique in character, the result is a meandering trail of spaces steeped in biophilia.
